25-Jun-2023 (In Child Custody Law)
I'm a mother of five years boy. My husband had been very voilent in his conduct through past three years of our marriage. Initial verbal abuse was there since starting then eventually it converted into physical harm. But I never filed a complaint against him as I thought it might make our relationship bitter. But now a want a divorce. He is not ready for mutual one. He is asking for child custody. He has got alot of money than me. But on the other hand I'm well educated ,earning and have my family's support. In my case 1.will I be able to get my child custody? 2. Am I entitled to get alimony and other monetary help to raise my son.

Yes you can claim for the custody of the minor child. Moreover, you can claim for maintenance for your child as well. The matter can be adjudicated on merits / contested in the court or you can choose alternate dispute redressal too.
