What is the remedy in case of false cheque bounce case

As a dealer we have to give a security cheque to our supplier and its a normal practice. in my case at the time of demonetization due to short of fund 2 cheques got bounced but i have paid in cash and i have receipt along with i have billed the some stock to that dealer also but in place of settle the account he deposited the security cheque in account and its got bounced on basis of that cheque he filed a cheque bounce case. I have enough evidence against that dealers cheating practice please suggest how can i defend myself and i want to teach him a lesson also.

See the law on Negotiable instruments is settled on the proposition that a security cheque cannot be regarded as a due on the other party. In your case, all you need to do is to get all the dues and it's payment receipt. Since, cheque bounce cases are mostly a complaint cases so, you have to wait for the summons. Till then do consult with the papers so that on the first day after Sec 204 CrPC compliance you can move your own application of fraud in the same court along with a request through counsel to mediate the above mentioned case.
