You have to use it in a correct manner or else it's a sheer waste of opportunity to claim your actual amount plus interest. As it's a quasi criminal and attract imprisonment the chances increases

Firstly to get return memo from bank secondly to send legal notice to drawee after getting reply or refusal finally file complain before c.m.m within stipulated period. Time is very important in filing complain u/s 138 of n I act. Please detail when cheque is bounded. WhatsApp return memo for bouncing date. I shall further advice you.

If the actual loan or transaction is done by you in regard of the said cheque. You put the cheque for encashment in you bank account if the dishonored with memo funds insufficient than after serving legal notice you can case against the person

If you have a blank cheque and it has been given for repayment of the money, then you are free to fill in the details and deposit it in bank for encashment, either it will bounce or get cleared. If it gets bounced then, a notice has to be given within 30 days from the date of cheque getting bounced wherein 15 days time is granted for payment. If he doesn't pay then a case has to be filed within a month from the expiry of 30 days from the receipt of notice. These time periods are very important or else the case can be dismissed.

The chances are 98% that u can get ur money back if you have a blank cheque of that person becoz it shows that he has given u blank cheque for security ,u can also fill ur due amount on that person,n if the cheque bounce then also u have power to file case of cheque bounce.
