Received legal notice 10 times greater than the amount, what to do ?

I have taken 30000 from my friend and i fail to repay it in 6month then he took the cheque to bank and it was bounced and he sent me legal notice of 340000 thousand now what i'll do

You need to reply to the legal notice. He cannot demand for 10 times more then the amount. you are liable to pay the amount on the cheque. if you do not then you may even end up in jail as its a criminal offence. You can even try to settle the matter before he files a criminal case against you.
