Cheque bouncing is a criminal offense and you can take action against your employer under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. You will need to send your employer a legal notice and wait for a 30 day period for the dispute to get resolved. If it does not, you can file a case in court. The goal often is to send the notice and then try and settle matters.

You may first issue legal notice and demand the amount therein. In case demand in notice is not complied you may thereafter file complaint U/s 138 NI Act within stipulated period. For recovery of your amount /salary a recovery suit before civil court can also be filed against company.

In your situation you will be well advised to first issue a legal notice in terms of section 138, Negotiable instruments Act and if he still does not pay up then file a complaint case against him before the MM having jurisdiction and he will likely pay up
