20-Jun-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
We purchased grocery for a marriage in 2012 and gave my grandfather's blank cheque for the purpose of security. And after that we paid the entire amount by cash and forgot to collect the cheques. My grandfather expired in 2016 almost 9 months ago. And now that person taking the advantage of my died grandfather cheques and blackmailing us to give money otherwise he'll file a suit against us. Dear queriest,
1) you have purchased a grocery from that shop keeperin 2012. After such a long time now he is threating you.
2) you can file an application stating true facts about the circumstance with commissioner of police.
3) further if he does any act he has to prove the capacity how he managed to get that cheque. Now suppose if he has a cheque he has to prove how he get this cheque, foes he has any id prove or any agreement between the borrower and lender, because nobody can give money on a plain cheque.
For further clarifications you can contact me and kindly rate me... thnks

Don't worry! The format of the cheques have changed significantly over the time. 2012 cheque is invalid as of now and there can be no case in lieu of it. Moreover, the other guy also has to prove how he got the old cheque. Also, the period of limitation applies and there can be no case against you.
