You have ground to defend the suit. Under the Negotiable Instrument Act we'll establish that you have no standing liability as on date to the landlord. Please feel free to contact us for a meeting/discussion.

you can fight 138 case as you have already paid and also you have witnesses to put up in your defense plus online transaction which will solidify your evidence along with that you can file suit for injunction so that landlord is not able to dispossess you from your rental accommodation. you can also if he threatens you again file a criminal complaint after intimating police authorities. hope this will cover your current problem.

Hi
do you have any proof that you gave cash to the landlords son?
if no then there will be slight problem for you
if yes then proceed in cheque bounce case accordingly and present your defence in application of 145(2) of NI act.
apart of that if the landlord is harassing you without any reason then you can also seek protection in relevant laws.
