is wife liable for husband's cheque bounce

Hii, my husband has given cheques years back and was not cleared due to short of funds. Now he is absconding. Am I liable for payment of his cheque bounce. He doesnt have any propery in his name.
As per ur quarry reoy is -In the matter of cheques u/s 138 n i act cheque issued authority or person is liable no other person is liable .so ur not liable for cheque issued by ur husband rest. On VI's a vise
