It is not known whether you are at fault ie you have committed the offence. If so, I cannot support you. If not, you have an opportunity at two levels - sessions court and high court. You may appeal if you are aggrieved with the judgement passed by the trial court.

what your lawyer saying is correct you have to deposit at list 25% of the amount up to 50% it depends, and immediatly you can file a case to Quash Proceedings in the High Court challenging the proceedings initiated by the complainant in the lower court. The main ingredient is that the cheque issued should be a legally enforceable debt

What was the cheque amount? Rs.200,000 wont be the fine. It must be Rs.5000/-. Your lawyer is correct, first you will have to pay the fine and will have to file appeal in the dist., court. After conviction you willhave to file a bail application along with surety
