You have a very good case, provided you take necessary steps on bounced cheque. If necessary present it for second time. It all depends on you to encash on the bounced cheque. Internet is there to guide you further.

Hello,

You need to issue a legal notice through an advocate to your colleague. After receipt of legal notice if your colleague pays the amount its well in good or if fails to pay we need to file a cheque bounce case. Let me know details. Please feel free to contact me. Please visit my office. Thanks

Collect the bank endorsement and issue legal notice to your colleague through advocate within 30 days from the date of receiving bank endorsement of bouncing.
Your colleague has committed offence punishable under Negotiable Instrument Act.138 and you can file complaint against him before Magistrate Court. Contact advocate immediately to do the needful as it is time bound procedure which you have to do without delay.
