How to deal with summons on cheque bounce case

hi sir i have issued PDF 5 cheques to SBI for card settlement on 2015, but due to some financial reasons it got bounced and i have not received any notice from them and now i received summon. can i pay those 5 cheques amount in installments?

First of all Drawee should issue a mandatory legal demand notice for filing criminal case under Section : 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Whether have you received that notice. Contest the matter. Take expert legal advise by engaging expert Legal Adviser who is dealing in cases under Section : 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. While proceedings are going on you can propose compromise. But you must attend each and every adjournment.
