How much time it takes for a cheque bounce case to settle

I buy a land along with cheque 3250000rps but there is some dispute in land .if i bounce that chq then how much time it take to resolve the chq bounce case
It depends on the facts of the case...mostly a cheque bounce case gets settled in a year or so but in cases where a disputed land is involved then it might. take some more time...it also depends on whther you r in possession of the land ...
