finance company not giving sale copy of bike what legal action

I purchased activa from sub dealer and got done my finance through one finance company. After 8 months I came to know that my bike is not register. I went to dealer shop but he winded up and run away from the city. I approached finance company for sale copy of my bike. They said they didn't have any papers related to my bike.so I stopped paying emi. Let me suggest what can I do in such situations.
We have to send a legal notice to the concerned Finance Company
It will be safer side for us
As well as in feature the finance company will not mislead the fact.
And if our cheque is in possession of finance company then we have to ask for that by the way of legal notice
