Cheque for security deposit bounced how can I recover the amount
22-Jun-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
2 years house lease, 2 lakhs SD, Possession 8/6/14, Agreement ends 7/6/16, Verbal notice 1/1/15, Vacate Handed over 22/1/15, Police complaint 9/5/16, PDC received 2 lakhs 15/6/16, Presented 21/6/16, Bounced 22/6/16 Request suggestion for early recovery of my money.

It is unfortunate that you have not been paid your SD amount that too after 1 1/2 yrs, you have no other choice but to issue a statutory legal notice for return of the SD amount within 30 days of bankers memo that the cheque has been returned for the reasons "Funds insufficient". In the legal notice you give Land lord 15 days time to return the money, if the LLD fails to comply your demand you file a cheque dishonour case for return of the money else punishment before the magistrate court.
