Can I file a case after 30 days of cheque bounce

I am a trader. One of my customer's cheque got bounced twice & he is not paying the dues. Last cheque bounced on 25/11/2016. Can I sue him for payment of dues? Please help.

your date is incorrect kindly send the exact detail on which cheque bounce because you mentioned the incorrect details . so firstly provide acurate details thank you rest you may contact after that and will be convenient

Yes you can sue him for cheque bounce. You can directly sue him for recovery but as its nature is civil it might take unexpected time...cheque bounce case nature is of criminal to most extent and to avoid criminal liability he can pay you all the due amount.
There are more options like you can go for specific performance... or specific relief under the contract. Its upto u for which segment you choose.

if the three month is not expired from the date of issuance of cheque, You have to present the cheque in your branch to get the fresh memo , as the time limit is within 30 days from the date of memo .

Dear client,
I think you are giving wrong date of cheque bounce. 25.11.2016 is yet coming. So please check the date and make right query. You can recover your cheque amount from account holder within 3 years from date of cheque.
