We want to claim bank acc. amount. 1) Do I need succession certificate for this? 2) My father lived in Haryana. Can I apply for Succession Certificate in Haryana or I have to apply where bank account is i.e. in UP? 3) How can I can claim bank amount ? Dear Client
Succession certificate is a must for the purpose of claiming money in the account of deceased parents. For the said purpose you will have to file a suit for succession through some advocate and the same can be effectively filed at the place where your father lived. All the legal heirs of the deceased shall be made parties in the suit for succession along with the General public.
