FD with SBI without nominee of my deceased father, how to recover ?

28-Jun-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
My deceased father had a FD with SBI, Howrah without any nominee. We are 5 children and we want the FD amount to be given to my mother. The bank manager is very arrogant and not explaining us properly on what needs to be done.He says to bring legal heir certificate first and then only he will discuss.3 of our siblings are based out of West Bengal and its not possible to make frequent visits to the bank. Would appreciate if any lawyer can help us to get the money back

Sir, I will in my all earnest will be able to help but we need more details like from which local limit your parents belong as to ascertain in which local civil court we can file the petition under succession act 1908 and get the legal heir certificate. It might take some time and will definitely take my effort. As far as legal expenses go either you can pay a lump sum amount before or in parts as the work goes. The total amount depends on the valuation of the property. I am a part of a renowned firm at High Court Kolkata. Contact Lawrato to further contact me
