Cancellation of bank account

I was a customer of axis bank.I cancelled my bank account which i thought got cancelled .Lately one of my family member transfered money into my account which got cancelled and he didnt knew about it. I received a message from the bank saying xxxx amount of money has been credited to thr account and also yout remaining balance is xxxx .A sum of 1000 rupees were also deducted from that transaction. When i called the bank why my account didnt get cancell and what about the money which got transferrred they gave no replys
approach the banking ombudsman with the ackonwledgment that you received at the time of requesting for cancellation of your bank account. these documents are mandatory. if you approach the ombudsman, probably the bank will come out with the facts.
