Can SEBI take cognizance in fraud committed in banks

Does a fraud committed in a bank , which is listed on NSE / BSE , needs to report it SEBI . Fraud committed by Staffs only . If no reporting has been done , can SEBI take self cognizance of such information
Can but atleast it should reach in the ears of SEBI and is absolutely its own descretion where SEBI will decide whether they will initiate the process of fraud and proceed with an FIR or a internal proceeding.
