Hi, The procedure is that if a person is in LMC and unable to perform his duties and he cannot be employed on alternative duties, on the recommendation of Medical authorities such soldier can be invalided out of service. Otherwise, the individual has no choice to go on medical pension. If you want you can go on normal discharge and claim for disability pension along with the normal pension. You are eligible for the pension after 15 years of service. If you need further advice you can call or write to us. Regards

If you have put in 14 years 8 months then earn your pension by doing another few months to get pension and at the time of RMB you disability will be assessed and if it's attributes le/aggravated by military service then you get disability element of disability pension.
But if you want to leave then clearly mention your inability to work due to pension and that you should be invalidated from military service. You just put up your application they have to process it.dont resign.
