Non Ex-servicemen meaning & eligible benefits

11-Apr-2023 (In Armed Forces Tribunal Law)

I served 6 years 2months in Indian Army from 2001 to 2007. When I was serving in J&K state I lost my father. I was unable to attend his funeral rights also. Then I was applied for discharge on my own request on compassionate grounds and came out from Army with discharge book. But my status was written as Non Ex-Servicemen. Now my question is, "may I get any benefit(Age relaxation) in re employment in civil services or not? Is there any supported GO? "Officers who are boarded out from training academy's are treated as Exsm only for reemployment in civil services. May I get the benefit or not?

Yes in few cases they give some consideration to service rendered in Army it depends and differs from state to state and it should be also in recruitment rules for the post which is being applied.Since the service was left at own request ,so some states might not treat it coloured service. In case of training cadets also the reason why they left is important.

Hi, You get the benefits of age relaxation. there are govt ruling and court decisions from various courts which tell that you are ex-serviceman after five year of service. Consult in person, we will advise you properly.
