Mark run from Indian Navy-Can i pursue my case now

17-Apr-2023 (In Armed Forces Tribunal Law)
After 4.5 years of service in Indian Navy as a sailor, I tried to resign but was not accepted /allowed. I do not have any document to support the fact also. I was shifted to duty at gates after telling him that I want to resign and after waiting for 30 days I left them and was marked run from Navy? No other crime or offence done in 4.5 years of service( Good feedback in service document) , Will there be a pending case against me now .I just want that Tag removed from my name and live a free life as I feel Everyone should have a choice of occupation. Can I pursue my case now. My 15 years will complete in August 2018.

You will be tried by court martial for having deserted the service when ever you are brought before the law of Navy. Remember any day you will be arrested and tried and punished. Desertion from service is an offence and there is no bar to trial even after 03 years.

Hi, there are suitable provisions in Indian Navy which would have led you to proper discharge and live a life of dignity for ever. Now, that has become a thing of past and you have to confirm from official sources of Navy regarding your case.

If you ran away from Navy you would have been declared a deserter. After 3 years you must have been dismissed. Under the circumstances its not clear what tag you want to be removed Please contact with details.
