You are no authority to state that you require rest for one year. As per DGMSAF Regulation, Only the authorized armed forces doctor to whom you complain of your medical problem may state thus. In which case you will get relief as decided by him , for the time decided by him periodically during recategorisation and which may extend to several years, you may be categorised as low medical category, sick leave, in which case you will be restricted from various categories of work as required and ordered and you will still get all your pay or you may be discharged from Army with your disability being either attributed to or aggravated by Military service or not.
