I have applied for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), 2016 as per the notification No.5/2016‐ENGG by UPSC. I have applied for the exam under Physically Handicapped Category under the Roll No: 0174511. As per the Schedule of Interview/Personality Test posted on the UPSC website, I have attended the Personality Test on 28.09.2016. During the Personality Test, my certificates including the Physically Handicapped Certificate, which states the category of my disability, were verified. As per the Press Note released by Government of India on 29.11.16, I have secured All India Rank M-174 in the order of merit in Engineering services. They have disqualified me on the grounds of not meeting subclassification. Similar instances of denying employment for Physically Disabled individuals in the All India Services, Central Civil Services and Central Engineering Services has occurred in the cases of Ira Singhal, Beno Zephine, Praveen Kumar Mittal, Sarika, Manish Vaishnav to quote a few.
You are at liberty to approach the court by filing a writ petition for not considering as per the notification. Immediately consult an advocate of high court for an appropriate action. You can even send Right to information act notices to the concerned why u r not Selected ad asking for reasons like u said about disqualification
