My Name is Shobhit Srivastava (27)from Allahabad. I have a business plan which is based on a Website (Based on only city level). Before starting my business I want to know (1)what is Legal formalities for developing E-Commerce website in india means to which type of registration necessary(Solo Proprietorship/Company) .(2)which type of documentation/Registration/Approval necessary for this type business(3)How to I take copyright on my business plan.

Q: Goods damaged my packers and movers, what can be done

I had booked DHL Expert Packers and Movers to relocate my goods from Chennai to Ghaziabad along with my car. The goods have come damaged and there was no insurance they did the insurance only when I reported damage. Secondly they promised to bring the car in a container but they drove it all way through and over and above the ideal kilometers. There were serious damage to the car including scratches.

Q: How to get compensation from online travel booking webiste

Recently I downloaded the yatra.com app and used it to book hotels with code on 15-01-2017. But to my surprise I received a call on 20-01-2017 from yatra.com customer care that my booking has been cancelled and there is no other option but to intitiate the refund process.It was a big shock to me as it was the decision of yatra.com to decide on my behalf and not me to cancel the booking.Money refund is not the end of the problem. my whole itienary got effected from their cancellation. Thus I want opinion regarding the compensation of the new booking done by me and also the compensation(penalty) for the mental harassment

On the face of it, seems like a case of deficiency in service and unfair practice. Monetary loss on account of change in itenrary can be sought from the service provider. Proper legal advice can be given after peruisng booking details, grounds for cancellation etc.

Q: Mistakenly Signed on other's document on behalf that person, advise

Hello sir/mam we are running a society 1 year ago we had increased the no,s of members of the society from 7 to 12 to get the working area of society from State level to National level, but it was not possible that time to make the other members sign on the documents so we signed on their documents and on society documtns on their behalf... Today Those members are not taking any action against us but in futue they can take action against us ...what can we do now to be in safe zone for future....we already get affidevits from them which stated that......They had signed all the documents related to society but problem is that thier sign on documents and their sign on affidevit will not match if they file case ..... Pls tell what can be done today to be in safe zone for us and for our society as well

Hi, you can execute a specific POA in your favour, granting you right and authority to sign the documents on their behalf. The POA must have clause which ratify the earlier acts and deeds including signing of.this document. Execute the POA on an INR 100 stamp paper for each member.

Q: What can be done if college is asking extra fee

I study in an private engineering college .The college is forcing me to pay extra money than what is mentioned in fees .There is no one to resolve my complaint in the college.They have even imposed illegal fines for not paying the amount. every now and then they pressurise me to pay the amount . Can I raise this matter in consumer court.How much time will it take to get resolved. The amount they are asking for is rs 13000 . What compensation can I demand from the college for mentally torturing me.

Depending upon the nature of requisition made by college, one can consider the legal recourses. Consumer laws per se may not be applicable as there does not seems to be any lack of service in question.
