Q: Can i write the content of my product online

I am writing this to ask if it is legal to post the contents of some company's product online. By contents I mean specifically the contents of the product which are not particularly written on the product itself. And the ingredient or the content which is known from the company itself or with a RTI application. For Example: There is a product'xyz' which has some ingredient 'abc' in it and it is not disclosed by the company on the product itself. SO my question is, is it legal if post that content online with the name of the company and the pruduct itself? Can it attract any lawsuits against me and is there any way i can post these contents and not attract any lawsuits? Thank you in advance and looking forward for your reply.

Depends on the content. You cannot copy any information written by someone else and reflected on their website or product. By this, I mean their description of information and the style in which they have written it. The content may be the same, the presentation must not be.

Q: Got hair colored from a salon other than what I demanded

Hi, I got my hair color from salon but the color i demanded to be done was blue and purple for which i shared picture with them aswell but what they did was pink and orange. this completely changed my look which i never wanted and acted as emotional disturbance for me.I didnt pay any amount to them and walked out off salon. These salon people are calling me now and harassing me to pay money as according to them i seem happy in my dp carrying the wrong color and saying that they will file a police complain against me. when thet=y are the ones who did mistake. They are agreeing that they have done wrong color because of color mixing and can change it but i dont want to go there as my hair are not for experiment purpose and i dont trust there services. Kindly suggest a way forward.

Just send them a legal notice and attach the colour pictures of hair. Ask them to stop harrassment or you will lodge a suit for harrasment and breach of trust. They will stop calling you. Also share a post on Facebook etc. Where you can share feedback of salon. As evidence.

Please see response below:1. No, you are not a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act.2. No, yours is not a consumer dispute. 3. Your dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the Company Law Tribunal. You can file the case at Chandigarh if the head office of Unitech is at Chandigarh.4. You need to see where the head office of Unitech is and then file there. If it's at Chd, then yes we can file it at Chd.

You need to write a representation to the PSEB regarding this. Within 30 days of this, you need to file a Writ Petition under the High Court at Chandigarh seeking direction from the Court regarding this. The best way is to hire a lawyer and have him write the representation to the concerned Department before filing the writ petition.

Q: Should copyright be done before the presentation of the article

I have filed a copyright for an innovative design for a chocolate box packaging. now i am willing to discuss about this to a chocolate manufacturing company. I want to ask, should i file for design patents before disclosing my design to them, or is it fine that i have a copyright for it under artistic design category. copyright under artistic category would protect my chocolate box design or , should i file it under design patents?

That depends on the design of the chocolate box and its novelty. To be able to file for a design patent you need to provide a new and unique packaging which is not being done in India at the time. If that is the case, then yes - please file a design patent before you share it with the manufacturer. Copyright only protects the overall look and appeal and art of the chocolate box.
