Q: Charged with IPC sections can I apply for passport

506,507,509 are filed on me can i apply pasport

Advocate Shubham Jain answered
As per the relevant laws, the passport authority have the power to reject the passport of those Applicant who have criminal cases pending against them. However, there is a way out for this. Several people go out inspite of criminal charges against them. For that you disclose the purpose of going abroad and the date or time by which you will be coming back to the magistrate before whom your case is running and thereby seek NOC from the same Magistrate/Judge. For detailed procedure, kindly contact.

Q: Is it necessary to mention fathers name in aadhar card ?

My daughter is 9 years old... about to apply for aadhar card....I would like to know if her biological father's name should be mentioned or the column can be left blank....I am a divorcee.fyi

Advocate Shubham Jain answered
I recommend you to mention the same in the aadhar card as there have been several instances where the various documents such as passport etc. were rejected by the Authorities as the same were not having name of biological father's name. Though the same were challenged in courts of law later on, but it's better to avoid troubles and litigation.
