Q: salary of 106 professors of KSDS University state of Bihar is witheld

106 professor of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University(KSDSU) has not got salary from 2011. They had been appointed by committee made by GOVT. OF BIHAR and latter a resolution passed in the ASSEMBLY which regularised their recruitment in 1979. After 32 year a corrupt VC of this University stopped the salaries of 106 professor on the ground that they are not COMMISSIONED and laid down highly lengthy procedure to get commissioned. Respective professors followed such procedure. SENATE recognised it and held salary should resume immediately subject to CABINET approval and is still pending

Advocate Shama Sinha answered
This case is a good case for filling writ in High Court. Seeking Mandamus that Govt should take decision with in a time frame as the matter is quite old. If I am not wrong the same University was before High Court and personal appearance of earlier VC was also directed.
