Hello Sir, I have a simple query. Is "Gift Certificate" enough to sell the property?Before my mother in-law's death, she gifted land to my wife. My wife has gift certificate of the land. Is this document enough for her to sell the property? Or, does she need any other documents?

Q: Do daughters get a share in grandfathers self acquired property.

Hi sir , I am from Hyd. Do I possess share in my grand father's owned property as a grand daughter., i asked my father but he is refusing to give. I dont have any brothers but I have two sisters One sister is got married. I asked her but she is not showing interest in asking.what do i have to do? My father sold out one plot for my married sister. Now he is telling that he would sell another plot for another sister's marriage. Me and my married sister got married at just about 20yrs without any professional education even after having 80% of marks in Inter, just made us done degrees in open university but he made my small sister a CA .Now he is spending all the money he is earned for only my small sister. we did n't make him spent on us before and even after marriage.I feel there is no equality in the family. If i ask this , he is saying my work is over with both of you, I only look after my unmarried daughter. How can we proceed with this,we are also having two kids.

I have been working from past 13yrs and have invested in property and business for my husband and brother in law. I took huge loans from banks too. My husbands family is selling of property and business and denying me any money. I have no assets as such and am just left out with loans. I have 2 kids to support and loans greater than my salary. I'm Hindu and so is my husband.

Sir, we have ancestral property in Telangana state. its more than 100 years old. my father passed away in 1976 and mother in 2009. we are 4 brothers and got the property registered on our names in 2015 via partition deed. I am selling my part as per the municipal value this month. Can I know will my sale attract any capital gains tax please? Thank you
