Q: Can the reason for Divorce be Minor issues causing stress and hatred?

I was a very cheerful person. Post wedding the small things like restrictions on freedom/money, suspicion, show off and continuous nagging has caused me to be stressed always. It feels like every act of love is just an eye wash. There are times when i am told I am loved, but the acts dont always show that. I feel i have no space. I cannot make independent decisions to shop, to spend money or time with my family, to go out with my friends. I now am a suspicious person. I draw comparision all the time and am no more happy at any given time. I dont want my child to grow seeing us fight everytime.

Advocate Koller BT answered
HelloSince the family is the basic institution of our society, the Act provides for certain grounds and in your case the facts amounting to cruelty and this is also a ground for divorce. The Supreme Court clearly stated that where the marriage has been broken down to the extent that the can't be reconciled in any manner the court ought to grant decree of divorce. .
