Q: Gym not allowing cancellation of membership

I paid 26000 for an annual package which I now want to cancel. I have only visited the gym for 6 days though membership got activated from 12th August. Is it not illegal for the gym to not allow cancellation in the sense that they are not refunding any amount of money. Do I need to go to consumer court for this?

You have to check the terms and conditions put forth by the gym regarding their cancellation policy. If things are in your favour then you can definitely take legal action against them. But the conditions are essential in this case.

Q: packers and movers company not taking responsibility for lost items

Hello, I had hired a packers & movers company for moving my household items from one city to another. They lost lots of my items during transport, when I contacted them they are not taking any responsibility to find those items. Recently they stop to pick up my call. Also they were demanded 1.5 times more money after loading the track and I paid them. The agreed value was Rs.17000 and They demanded at last time RS.26000 and I paid them. My shifting date was 25th February 2018 and I received my items (not in good condition) on 13th March 2018. Lost items value near about Rs. 8000. Please advise me what can I do legally?

You should send the company a legal notice asking for your money. If they do not give satisfactory reply, then you can file complaint in consumer forum. If the court deems fit, you will get compensation, litigation cost and your actual value which you paid them.

Q: No payment received for materials supplied

I have not received payment for materials supplied to a party.what actions can i now take.can i file Fir in police station.please advise urgently.my payment is due since 2013.

Depending on the type of materials and the amount due you need to consult with an advocate and send him a legal notice first. Then, after his reply (or no reply) we shall proceed to court and get your money.

Q: Procedure of getting an anticipatory bail

What is the procedure of getting anticipatory bail after recieving notice?

Firstly the sections on which you have been accused needs to be checked whether they are bailable or non bailable. And then we shall proceed with the same depending on your jurisdiction. Do take proper lawyer advice before proceeding.

Q: Airtel company gave my call records to my parent without my permission

Without any criminal records my parents collect my call details and Airtel company gives them my call details without my permission. They hampered my privacy. How can I take an action against this.
