Q: Registered flat purchase in all clear new property but work stopped

2 years back i have purchased a property in Panvel with reputed builder as all clearance were in place. We have done the registration and paid service tax / VAT as well. Unfortunately, construction has stopped since then as builder is saying that he dont have any funds now. Please suggest what could be course of action against him. Thanks.

Advocate Hitendra Vilaschand Shah answered
Option 1 - Approach the Consumer Forum Court and file your complaint for deficiency in services by builder.Option 2 - File a suit in regular civil court for timely specific performance of contract.Option 3 - File a suit in Civil Court for cancellation of registered agreement and for refund of money you paid, if in case, if you are now not interested in that property.
