Q: Donated money to a scam charity can I recover my money back

Someone called me and asked for a donation to save a child undergoing treatment at AIIMS. I checked the govt site and the link looked valid. I donated 10,000 Rs/- (online transfer through bank- http://www.reliefindiatrust.org/). The next day they called me again and said they need another 36K and I got suspicious. When I did detailed research I saw lot of people complaining about them. My question is if I can claim that money (10K ) back from them. I definitely want to donate for a valid cause. I just feel me trust has been violated. I am an educated person and I hate being taken for a ride.

Advocate Girish HT answered
U need to file a police complaint. Take out all the print outs and all the inputs available on the web. Note down the mobile / contact number through which you have received the call from. Further course of action will be advised in person.

Q: Can my father sell property for which he has GPA

There is a property (30*40 Non converted) which was given to my father through registered GPA in 1995. Till now, it is not registered under anyone name. Now, can my father register the same property in my name? FYI: GPA says that my father can sell the property. Also, we do not want to call the person who has given the initial GPA. Should the person who gave the GPA be present at the registrar? Is it needed?

Advocate Girish HT answered
(1)Do you have any other document other than GPA to say that the said property has been sold to your father. (2)Please furnish the necessary documents provided by the owner at the time of execution of GPA. Actual facts will be addressed after scrutiny of the available documents.

Q: Road to my plot is at risk of being blocked

Hi,I (party 1) own a plot in Bangalore in a privately developed layout, and my plot is at the end of the road with 3 other plots adjacent to mine. The other three plots are owned by the same owner (party 2), who has bought the survey number that has actually gone into the road. A third party (party 3) is now claiming a part of the road as a adjacent survey number they claim to have bought. Party 2 is now claiming that the road is private property and not a public road, and plans to block the access with a gate.He claims that this is needed to counter party 3. What should I do? Thanks

Advocate Girish HT answered
U need to file a suit against the party who is blocking access to your property. With the help of the documents / titles available with you I can guide you on further course of action. Please share all the relevant documents for appropriate advise.
