Q: How to go about company registration

I am currently an undergraduate student and I wish to have my own event management company. I will be sole founder of the company and will later join in some students of my college, as interns. I do not know much about the registration process. I have searched on the internet through various sources, but all of it has left me all the more confused. I have read somewhere that if a company is a sole proprietorship type, registration is not required. Am I right? Also since one of the major functions that would be performed by me would require sponsorship/external project partnerships, is it still not necessary for me to register my company. If not registering my company, what other documents/ registrations are required by me, so that the sponsors do not question me about any of the legal procedures, in the future. Please guide me. It is very important for me and would be very kind of you, if you could help. Thanks in Advance.

Hi,It is best that you first go ahead with sole proprietorship as that requires no registrations apart from getting your personal PAN number. For taking sponsorships you'll need to get a current account opened and the service tax registration done. To be legally sound you can also go ahead with trademark registration for your company's name and logo. Hope this helps!

HiI would recommend you to write to amazon first or call them on their customer support and they would issue a refund immediately. If they don't, you can file a complaint in the consumer forum within jurisdiction for redressal of your grievance. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Q: Hospitals charging different rate for the same service is justified

Is it justified that leading hospitals like Fortis charge the same service (e.g. X ray) differently to different customers depending on the type of room they have bought? Can a PIL be filed for this?

HiHospitals cannot charge more than the prescribed amount and usually that amount is supposed to be same for each patient. If you suspect that patients are being charged differently, you may obtain such bills and information from the hospital by filling an RTI and then file a complaint in the consumer court. Q: Amazon cancelled order after 7 days what can be done

I placed an order with amazon.in on 13oct and paid by net banking. It showed that the item will be delivered from 19 to 24 october but on 19 the seller sent me a mail that he can't ship the item. I asked the customer care and they said that they will pay me 100 rs penalty but i want my product on 21oct at last instead of those 100 rs. I want to approach consumer court and Sue then what i should do

Hi,You can approach the consumer forum with your complaint regarding the same. Q: consumer case against the electricity board for wrongful extra bill

I got a electricity bill of 7000 units but my average is around 1000 units and when I asked about this from the electricity board they told that your landlord told us to increase the bill. There is a case between me and my landlord that is in the court. Now he showed a wrong bill in the court. Now should I file a consumer case against the electricity board and what kind of relief I can get.

You may file a consumer court case against the electricity board as you do not have any documentary evidence of the fact that your landlord asked them to increase the bill. You may place this on record in your existing case if anyone from the electricity board is ready to provide you an affidavit of this statement.
